Additional Information

When successful, applicants will be given a 10 year visa but subject to the validity of the applicant’s passport.  What this means is that your passport will initially be stamped with a 4 year visa if your present passport has a remaining valid period of 4 years.  After your passport is renewed, you need to apply for an extension, which is a simple procedure, to have the visa for the remaining years stamped on the new passport.  The applicant must make the application personally at the Immigration Department of Malaysia and with the following documents :

1) Old and New Passport

2) Photocopy of the New Passport

3) A completed IM.12 Form

Fees to be paid to the Immigration Department of Malaysia is RM90.00 for each year of visa given. So expect to pay RM360.00 for a 4 years visa and then RM540.00 for the remaining 6 years visa.  Other visa fees may be payable for certain nationals.
